This website gives the entrepreneurs of VSE's/SME's useful and concrete references. It gives the strictly necessary information for a first orientation of the entrepreneur or entrepreneur-to-be with a view to improve his credibility and longevity as actor of the private sector.

It allows responding the following three fundamental questions:

This website addresses the African as well as European entrepreneurs, as it concerns everybody wishing to develop an economic activity in Africa and who should be able to undertake the financial risk thereof.
The financing of private initiatives always occurs on the basis of own assets, external financing (venture capital) or by borrowing from a credit institution. The entrepreneur should then be able to undertake the risks associated to the necessary indebtedness for the development of his enterprise.
The financial and technical resources presented in the guidebook are the resources outside the countries in which the economic activity is developing. The guidebook presents essentially the institutions resulting from the Cotonou Agreement that are still too largely unrecognised and badly utilised.

N.B.: Countries chosen in this first version of this guidebook are the 13 countries where the Belgian Cooperation is concentrating in Africa.

NB: this site will become a real Web portal in 2010. Keep it in your bookmarks !
